Sometimes hailed as the greatest Swords and Sandals of all time, this is the one I've always wanted to remake - and now, almost twenty years since its original launch, that dream is realised in all its vivid, bone shattering detail.

The hardest, most metal gladiator game ever made has been re-forged from the ground up, with new graphics and the most rocking soundtrack and the most brutal deaths ever seen in a Swords and Sandals game.

• Fast paced turn-based arena combat. Fight one-on-one or in teams of two, dodge spiked pits and traps on your way to victory

• Limb severing and decapitations! Sever arms and legs and keep on fighting as your gladiator finds the strength to endure

• Create a gladiator your way. Customize everything from height and weight to facial features and hometown, the choice is yours.

• 24 classic Arena Champions to do battle with, including the infamous Yeti Project

• Many classes to choose, skills and talents to learn. Rain molten death from the skies, play guitar solos that shake the ground!

• Defeat your enemy anyway you can. Throw your weapons, even throw discarded healing potions. Whatever it takes to win!

• Re-forged using the Swords and Sandals Immortals engine. This means cooler special FX, beefier particles, more fluid animations and more epic music than ever.

Finally, by popular demand, you can now play as a powerful Automaton construct. These towering robotic overlords are absolute tanks and level up in a different way to regular gladiators. They are probably a little overpowered, but hey - this is Swords and Sandals, what's a little ridiculous balancing here and there?
