About platform security and user trust

Recently, we’ve seen some discussions online accusing PL2W of being a scam, including posts referencing Reddit threads from over eight years ago. While we understand concerns about new platforms in the gaming space, we want to respond openly and clearly, not only to defend our brand but to stand by the trust our users have placed in us.

1. Let’s Set the Record Straight — That Wasn’t Us

The Reddit posts being circulated were about a different company entirely. That company operated under the same domain name years ago, and unfortunately, they were indeed involved in shady practices.

We contacted the mods of these communities, politely requesting to clarify and delete the posts, but this was their response:

The old PL2W’s Trustpilot profile was eventually taken down due to a flood of negative reviews.

PL2W, as it exists today, is not that company.

We acquired the domain in 2024 and launched an entirely new business, with new ownership, values, and operations. To clear up confusion, we submitted proof of our domain purchase to Trustpilot, and after their internal review, our PL2W profile was reinstated. Although the page was just recently established, all users who have used our service so far have been satisfied.

2. Is PL2W Legit and Reliable?

We believe the best answer to this doesn’t come from us — it comes from our users.

Since our launch, we’ve been fortunate to earn the support of thousands of gamers worldwide. Many of them have spoken up in forums, reviews, and Discord communities to share their real experiences — without incentives or scripted prompts. These voices matter. They represent the actual value of our service and are the reason we continue to grow and improve.

We’re not perfect — no company is — but we’re building something real, and we’re doing it transparently.

3. Does PL2W Steal Accounts or Personal Information?

Absolutely not. Let’s break this down clearly:

  • We never ask for your Steam password — all games run through our own client, which securely logs into pre-set accounts owned by PL2W.

  • We do not access or interact with your personal Steam account in any way. You don’t log into your own Steam account through PL2W at all.

  • If you use Google or email to sign up or log in, we do not and will never access, store, or misuse your personal login credentials. Your account information stays secure and private.

  • Payments are handled through reputable processors, and we do not store sensitive payment information on our servers.

We know the internet is full of skepticism, and frankly, that’s a good thing — it keeps platforms like ours honest. But we also believe in fairness. Misinformation can damage the reputation of companies that are trying to build something better, especially when those companies inherit a domain name with baggage.

To those who continue to support us: thank you. You’re the reason we’re here.

To those who are unsure: ask around. Try the platform. Join our Community. Talk to real users.

— Team PL2W
