“Account vs key” is the #1 source of misunderstandings in game marketplaces—so let’s make it simple.
What’s a CD-Key (and how it usually works)?
A CD-key (CDK) is a code you redeem on Steam/Epic/etc. Once redeemed, the game is owned on your personal account.
What’s an “account access” purchase?
Account access means you’re not receiving a redeemable code. Instead, you’re getting access to play a game through an account/service workflow (often via a dedicated launcher).
PL2W’s Help Center says its lower pricing comes from providing access to accounts in a family-sharing group and that PL2W acts as a launcher to log you into the family-sharing account it manages.
So—does PL2W sell keys?
PL2W’s Help Center answer is direct: “Currently, we do not sell CDKs.” It says PL2W sells Steam account access rights and assigns you a Steam account it manages.
Editor note: If any older blog drafts mention “Steam key/email delivery,” update them to match this official wording.
How to choose (practical checklist)
Choose account access (PL2W model) if:
You want a lower-priced way to play legitimate games and you’re OK using the PL2W launcher.
You understand passwords may not be provided for family-sharing accounts.
Choose a CD-key store (in general) if:
You want the game permanently owned on your personal account via key redemption.
FAQs

Q: Can I get the account password?
PL2W says no (family-sharing login requirements; access via PL2W login).
Q: Where do I get help?
Use the Help Center and contact support.
